What if 3 metres is not long enough?
Need a bit more length?
If your load is larger than expected, simply connect two She Straps™ retractable ratchet straps together to create a longer tie down solution.
Two 3 metre retractable straps can provide approximately 6 metres of total length, making them ideal for larger loads and awkward items.
Always ensure the straps are connected securely and that the load remains properly restrained. Check strap tension regularly during transport.
How long are the She Straps™ retractable ratchet straps?
Each She Straps™ retractable ratchet strap provides approximately 3 metres of usable strap length, making them suitable for a wide range of everyday load restraint applications.
Whether you're securing camping gear, farming equipment, a jet ski, hay, tools or everyday loads, the 3 metre length is suitable for most common tie down situations.
Always ensure the strap is suitable for the load and tie down points being used.
Are She Straps™ easy to use?
Yes. They are designed to be simple, quick and less frustrating than standard straps. No loose tail, no rolling up and no tangled mess.
Do I need to check my straps during transport?
Yes. As stated on the product label, strap tension should be checked during transport to ensure the load remains secure.
Can I use She Straps™ on sharp edges?
Avoid sharp edges where possible. If the strap must run near an edge, use suitable edge protection to prevent damage to the webbing.
Are She Straps™ compliant with Australian standards?
Yes. She Straps™ retractable ratchet straps are labelled in accordance with AS/NZS 4380:2001 and are intended for load restraint applications only.
When should I stop using a strap?
Do not use the strap if:
- The webbing is cut, frayed, worn or damaged
- The stitching is damaged
- The hooks are bent or damaged
- The ratchet mechanism is not working correctly
- The label is missing or cannot be read
Always inspect your straps before use.
How do I care for my straps?
Keep your straps clean, dry and stored away from harsh chemicals, heat sources and sharp edges. Always inspect them before each use.
Can I use them in wet weather?
Yes, but straps should be dried before long term storage to help keep them in good condition.
Are She Straps™ suitable for Australian conditions?
Yes. She Straps™ are designed for everyday Australian use, including road trips, camping, boating, farming, transporting equipment and outdoor adventures.
The durable polyester webbing and heavy duty components are built to handle the demands of Australian conditions when used and maintained correctly.
What are She Straps™ retractable ratchet straps used for?
She Straps™ are designed to help secure everyday loads quickly and easily. They are great for trailers, 4WDs, jet skis, camping gear, farming equipment, hay, tools and general outdoor adventures.
How are retractable ratchet straps different from standard ratchet straps?
Retractable ratchet straps automatically roll back into the unit when you are finished. This means no tangled straps, no loose ends and no messy storage.
What does the automatic retraction do?
The automatic retraction pulls the strapping back into the unit after use, helping keep everything neat, compact and ready for next time.
What is the load rating of She Straps™?
The She Straps™ retractable ratchet straps have a Lashing Capacity (LC) of 400 kg and a Minimum Breaking Strength (MBS) of 800 kg.
Always check the product label before use and ensure the strap is suitable for the load being restrained.
What does LC mean?
LC stands for Lashing Capacity. This is the maximum force the strap is designed to apply when securing a load.
For She Straps™:
• LC (Lashing Capacity): 400 kg
• MBS (Minimum Breaking Strength): 800 kg
Always follow the information shown on the product label.
What does MBS mean?
MBS stands for Minimum Breaking Strength. This is the force at which the strap may fail during testing.
For She Straps™:
• LC (Lashing Capacity): 400 kg
• MBS (Minimum Breaking Strength): 800 kg
The MBS is not the recommended working load. Always use the Lashing Capacity (LC) when determining suitability for your load.
Can I use She Straps™ for lifting?
No. She Straps™ are designed for load restraint only and must never be used for lifting, hoisting, supporting or suspending loads.
NOT FOR LIFTING.
What are soft loops used for?
Soft loops create an additional anchor point when there is not a suitable place to attach the strap hook directly.
They can be wrapped around larger bars, rails, posts, chassis points, handlebars, trailer frames, farming equipment and other structural points that may be too large for the strap hook to fit around.
Once the soft loop is secured around the anchor point, the strap hook can then be attached directly to the loop.
Soft loops also help protect painted, powder coated, chrome and delicate surfaces from scratches caused by direct hook contact.
What if my tie down point is too large for the hook?
Simply wrap a She Straps™ soft loop around the larger anchor point and connect the hook to the loop.
This creates a secure attachment point where the hook would not normally fit, making it ideal for trailer rails, chassis points, roof racks, farming equipment and other oversized anchor points.
Are soft loops included?
This depends on the kit or bundle selected. Please check the product listing to see how many straps, soft loops and accessories are included.
Will the hooks scratch my vehicle or trailer?
The hooks are coated to help reduce scratching, but we always recommend using soft loops where possible for extra protection, especially on painted, powder coated, chrome or delicate surfaces.
